Lotus Education & Arts Foundation

The Lotus Education & Arts Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization based in Bloomington, Indiana (est. 1994). Our mission is to create opportunities to experience, celebrate, and explore the diversity of the world’s cultures, through music and the arts.

You may have heard of our flagship event, the Lotus World Music & Arts Festival, that takes place every fall in downtown Bloomington. This four-day Festival is the longest standing world music festival in the Midwest and brings thousands of people to Bloomington every year for a perspective-changing, life-enriching experience.

Every spring we host Lotus Blossoms, four weeks of multicultural workshops, and performances by artists from around the globe. This program does a great deal of its work in schools in south central Indiana where we connect students with international artists who share music and teachings about their language, culture, and country.

Lotus is committed to reaching underserved populations and does so with the generous support of donors, sponsors, grantors, and volunteers.
