Outreach / Arts Education

Please provide information about your outreach or arts education program(s).:

We use art to educate, inspire, and empower people to act promptly, both personally and communally, to reverse environmental destruction and initiate the Earth’s healing.

Studies show that artistic expression can change behavior more than words. We, as artists, know that art affects people at a visceral level. Using art, we can transform climate paralysis into positive action. In our hosted events, we make and appreciate art that expresses our experiences of climate change. This may involve painting things we care about, depicting what we have loved and lost, or portraying our successes and our failures. All our events include concrete education and guidance on climate action.

In all our efforts, we aim to increase awareness, activism and communication about climate change.

Using the power of art for climate action.

Through workshops and events, we increase awareness, activism, communication about climate change.

Since our beginning in 2022 we have offered 4 Art Workshops locally , hosted 4 Art Exhibitions, and created a Northern California Chapter whose member hosted 2 workshops there.

Upcoming workshops are located in the menu on our web page.

UPCOMING EXHIBITS

In April 2024 we are hosting our first national juried Exhibit to be seen in Bloomington at the Arts Alliance Center in the College Mall. “Depictions: Earth, Life, and Our Shared Responsibility” will hang from April 1 – April 28.

UPCOMING WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS

Our approach in each of our art workshops is to ‘paint from the heart’ as an expression and a dialogue-starter about climate and nature — and then allow that to enable us to become advocates for protecting and preserving the things we love. In our events, we share educational resources, learn about regional environmental efforts, and discuss how to have conversations about climate change. In our gallery exhibitions, we show and explain our commitment to protect the things we love. In our public events, we encourage everyone to act to preserve our world.

Look on our website for past and upcoming workshops and for pictures of us in action.

Our next public event is our Exhibit April 1-28 at the Arts Alliance Center in the College Mall in Bloomington, IN.
